299. Music score of »Golden Proportion«

And they saw all the Landscapes flying over Planet Mars and Palma was also inspired to write remembering about his Uncle. Some Landscapes look like buildings. This they saw in their music Peony Gondola Dream at 23 p.m.
It felt like flying over Mars with the so called »Dragonfly«¹)

¹) A flying vehicle for 2 persons which was constructed to fly over Planet Mars in a speed of 200 km/h.

»Can I have the music score of the 5-beat creation, the golden Proportion music (3:2) …?«

Palmina smiled and was very lucky and she hugged Palma with her heart and again there was the golden light heart – to heart – connection between them.

Palma smiled also.

224. Palma tunes his harpsichord after Palmina’s lute

224. Palma tunes his harpsichord after Palmina’s lute

And as Palmina heard so directly music from Palma’s heart she realized that she started to dream and Palma put his arm around her during that and she smiled.
Also Palma did. And he could feel her smile at the beginning of this Peony Gondola hour at 23 o’clock. Palmina smiled very strong, Palma could feel it and smiled also, it was not possible not to smile.
Palma dreamed also, the same dream in this moment, in this Peony Gondola hour at 23′ o clock.
And they continued to dream and they saw this:

* * *

Palma was sitting on his harpsichord and realized, as he finished tuning it, that if he tunes his harpsichord after the Lute of Palmina, in well tempered half tones, it was possible to modulate a music through all half-tones in Magior and Minor.
But Palma tried out to play now and it was possible!
Normally here in Venice, in this 16th century, it was not possible to do so on a harpsichord or an organ – the instruments are tuned to play only in a few scale but not in all 12 semitone scale.
Palma will next week ask an organ-tuner to tune a little organ after Palmina’s semitones.
»Do you think, Palmina, he will tune the Organ like my harpsichord in equal like Well-tempered *) 12 semi-tones like your lute and my mandolin are already tuned?«, Palma asked loud, hoping that she is in the room nearby, listening him and that she will come to him in the big representative room of his flat on the San Marco Place in Venice, in the 2nd floor.

picture - Circle of fifths

picture – circle of fiths needs the „well tempered tunning“ –  the „Well temperament“ *)

»Yes, Palma, Yes…I think he will try it after you have shown him how your harpsichord is tuned…wait, I come…«, Palmina answered from the other room.
And now Palmina came with her lute to make music with Palma.
This moments are the most beautiful moments in Palma’s painting and artis’s live.
Palmina is with him and they are now alone, and they only want to do one thing: To make music, to feel the music-harmonic-connection between their hearts.
Palma played a few notes to test his new „lute-tuning“ of this instrument.
And suddenly he felt inspired with thinking on his pure pigeon, his snow-white saint spirit pigeon, bringing him always to new inspiration for his painting music creativity.
And Palma played and played and he tried out this new „Well tempered -12 semi-tons equal-tuning.“

* * *

As they saw this Peony-Gondola vision Palmina was very proud on her Jacopo Palma il Giovane, her painter, her composer, her love-story writer, her deep and only love.

Again she put her head on his side and continued to hear music and it was like that:

*) Well temperament – Wikipedia – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Well_temperament

WELL TEMPERAMENT (also good temperament, circular or circulating temperament) is a type of tempered tuning described in 20th-century music theory. The term is modeled on the German word wohltemperiert. This word also appears in the title of

J.S. Bach’s famous composition „Das wohltemperierte Klavier„, The Well-Tempered Clavier.“

„The first circular temperament was described by the organist ARNOLT SCHLICK**) in the early 16th century[citation needed], but „well temperaments“ did not become widely used until the baroque period. They persisted through the classical period, and even survived into the late 19th century in some areas, for example in Italy. [citation needed]
There are many well temperament schemes, some nearer meantone temperament, others nearer equal temperament. Although such tunings have no wolf fifth, keys with many sharps or flats still do not sound very well in tune (due to their thirds). This can contrast chords in which vibrations are concordant with others where the vibrations are not harmonically related. Some theorists [weasel words] have sought to define „well temperament“ more narrowly to exclude fifths wider than pure, which rules out many such schemes.“

**) Arnolt Schlick – Wikipedia – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arnolt_Schlick
Arnolt Schlick (July 18?  c. 1455–1460 – after 1521) was a German organist, lutenist and composer of the Renaissance. He is grouped among the composers known as the Colorists. He was most probably born in Heidelberg and by 1482 established himself as court organist for the Electorate of the Palatinate. Highly regarded by his superiors and colleagues alike, Schlick played at important historical events, such as the election of Maximilian I as King of the Romans, and was widely sought after as organ consultant throughout his career. The last known references to him are from 1521

The first circular temperament was described by the organist Arnolt Schlick in the early 16th century, but „well temperaments“ did not become widely used until the baroque period. They persisted through the classical period, and even survived into the late 19th century in some areas, for example in Italy.

Some theorists[weasel words] have sought to define „well temperament“ more narrowly to exclude fifths wider than pure, which rules out many such schemes.
Some well-known well temperaments go by the following names:
Werckmeister temperament (invented by Andreas Werckmeister)
French Temperament Ordinaire
Vallotti (invented by Francesco Antonio Vallotti)
Some temperament schemes feature numbers of perfect, pure fifths and these give enhanced harmonic resonance to instruments and music on which they are played so that music moves into and out of focus between keys as vibrations lock together or not. Werckmeister features 8 perfect fifths, Kellner 7 and Vallotti 6.
The contemporary composer Douglas Leedy has written several works for harpsichord or organ in which the use of a well temperament is required.[citation needed]

211. Palmina is healing wounds with her concerts

Astronomical Clock on San Marco Place in Venice

And they continued to dream their Peony Gondola dream:

* * *

The Gondola moved now slowly along the big Canale Grande.
After a while of silence and looking alongside the beautiful houses.
Palmina and Palma looked at each other.
Palmina played wonderfully for him, although it was a rehearsal for the concert at the Ospedaletto where Crezia is with her broken shoulder.

After her little concert in the Gondola Palma showed her his new music score the music score of „Le Reve – Dreaming Expressions“ for Piano and Violin.

And Palmina smiled and hugged him long and gave him a tender kiss.

Later at the evening concert Palmina played wonderfully and Crezia had tears of joy in her eyes. She felt no pain and the wounds of her broken shoulder seemed to heal faster than expected.

Palmina is not only a good soloist, a good music teacher, she can heal also old wounds.

It was a nice concert and Palma was so lucky to see her playing her music instrument for her.

Palma smiled – Palmina smiled.

Palmina was proud about his Palma, that he can play the organ on the moon palace of the moon princess Chang’e without preparations.

All the moon princesses and also the little 2 year old moon princess baby of the little moon princess mum gave a fine applause on the moon palace.

»Oh, Signore Palma il Giovane can you play again the organ solo for Palmina’s birthday which you played so full of love for your beloved Palmina….? We heard it once here on the moon as you played it in Venice for her birthday.«

Palma looked smiling a little bit questioning in Palmina’s direction.
Palmina smiled and she could read in his heart and his heart asked Palmina »should I…?«

Palmina send him again so much love from her heart to his heart that he felt strong enough to play the Organ solo for Palmina which was dedicated for her birthday.

»Oh, fine, master Palma will play for us the happy birthday organ solo for Palmina…« all the fine moon princesses with beautiful traditional Chinese cloths whispered decently.

Palma prepared the organ with switching the registers on that moon palace organ and played after a moment of silence like that:

23. The Spring Melody on the Rialto Bridge

23. The Spring Melody on the Rialto Bridge

[picture] Lao zi, Investiture of the Gods at Ping Sien Si, Pasir Panjang, Perak, Malaysia

After they finished playing together the image of ‚WIND‘, Palmina smiled, especially about his 2. Voice, the Viola-part of her Pipa solo 3 „WIND“ made her smile.
Yes, this image WIND is now exactly one page long; ‚HEAVEN‘ and ‚WATER‘ had been only a half page long.
Palma is really inspired by Palmina, his „Albina“.
Her warm beautiful thoughts brought Palma to compose a longer music piece.
Yes, she, his Palmina, his „Albina“, his Princess Gogathine, yes, she lead him to compose.
With her beautiful golden heart light, this inspirations are spiritually supported by her.
Palma was now strongly inspired by his Albina.
She seemed now to feel that Palma will compose now a bigger and longer part of the Pipa soli with some special music ideas for her.

„Something is now going on inside his artist’s heart“, Palmina thought.
Palma moved his head telling her „Yes“.

Suddenly in this 23rd hour of the day, in their Peony Gondola, Palmina and Palma saw the clouds again glowing.

Master LAO appears and with him King Wen.

They arranged the 8 Images in the Sky to a Circle after the arrangement of King WEN (Hou Tian Bagua Tu) ***)

***) King Wen said „八卦 後天圖 《周易》“
Queen Tai Si said: „The 8 Images of the later Heaven of the Book of Change, Djou Yi“

Than St. Francis and St. Claire appeared…
The Sun on the Sky shined strongly and St. Francis raised his arms to the sun.
The brothers and sisters surrounded the Sun.[*]
King Wen and Master LAO sent the 8 Images to move to the brothers and sisters at the sun.
Each brother and each sister stand beside an Image.
Then the brothers and sisters went to arrange along a line together with the 8 Images.

[*] They sung the Spring Melody:
„乾, 坎, 巽, 震, 兌, 離, 坤, 艮“ ¹ – King Fuxi and Queen Nüwa
„Brother SUN, Sister MOON, Br. WIND, and WEATHER, Sr. WATER, Br. FIRE, Sr. MOTHER EARTH, Sr. BODILY DEATH“ – St.Francis and St. Claire
„天, 水, 風, 雷, 火, 澤, 地, 山“¹ – King Wen and Queen Tai Si
„Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Mars, Venus, Mercury, Earth, Saturn“- Dante and Beatrice

Palma wrote fastly down the order of the 8 Images:

||| ¦|¦ ||¦ ¦¦| ¦|| |¦| ¦¦¦ |¦¦  ☰ ☵ ☴ ☳ ☱ ☲ ☷ ☶

And suddenly he saw Palmina as Princes Gogathine, beautifully dressed like the fine Chinese women of the Titian-Art-Gallery with her Chinese Lute Pipa standing on the Rialto Bridge.

Palma stand there on the bridge, again like every day, with his easel and drew her with her Pipa playing, smiling and being happy.

Birds and angels surrounded her and also the 8 Images; he drew it also in his drawing…

Picture of the Rialto Bridge, painted by Canaletto, North-side-view; from here Palma often waited secretly on the bridge to see Palmina coming from the market and playing the Lute for him during he was painting the sunset.

So he drew her on the Rialto Bridge with her Pipa with the 8 Images.
Then Palmina played the ‚SPRING-Melody of the 8 IMAGES‘ like that:

The Spring Melody of the 8 Images :

||| ¦|¦ ||¦ ¦¦| ¦|| |¦| ¦¦¦ |¦¦  ☰ ☵ ☴ ☳ ☱ ☲ ☷ ☶ **)

Palma il Giovane wrote also the music notes of the „Spring Melody of the 8 Images“ on this drawing.

Palmina smiled and this was so beautiful for Palma, that he had tears of joy again.
Yes, he was allowed to see and to hear her, to draw her, and to compose her as music ‚Spring-Melody‘ again after 400 Years…

He tried on his Mandolin to repeat the Spring-Melody of the 8 Images‘ and started to „Tremolo“ with his Mandolin.
The first time in the history of Venice someone tried to play the Mandolin with the „Pipa-Tremolo“ (Normally the Mandolin was plucked only with a quill here in Venice )
Palmina looked surprised how Palma did this and smiled.*)

„Hey, you play like a Pipa on your Mandolin!“

Palma invented now the Venetian Mandolin Tremolo style inspired by Princess Gogathin, his Palima, his Albina.

*) once all the Mandolin Player and musicians of the Republic of Venice will Tremolo on the Mandolin in the „Pipa-Tremolo“ style for all the future of the Venetian Culture till today!.
So maybe Marco Polo brought us not only noddles and a lot of important thinks to Europe, he brought us also the Mandolin Tremolo and Palma and Palmina reconstructed this scene now for us.

Then he started to compose this „Spring Melody“ in his Pipa solo 4 „THUNDER“ which symbolizes the early electric „Spring Energy“ in the Spring which gives the flowers and all the nature the power to grow and to open.

Yes, Palmina is Palma’s eternal music sun under he can open his heart, he is able to grow, to grow as artist, as painter, as composer, as human being.
And yes, and allways as she smiles for him playing her Lutes, he composes and draws.
During Palma is now composing the 4.Pipa solo on the Rialto Bridge the people asked Palmina on the bridge:
„Oh, what a beautiful Lute you play?“

„It is a Chinese Lute. And the name is Pi-Pa“, said Palmina.

Palma looked up from his easel and looked to Palmina smiling.
Palmina smiled shortly, shy back to him.

„This Lute looked like the historic music instruments which are in our ‚Marco Polo Museum‘ here in Venice!“ –

„Yes, it is a very historic music instrument. Marco Polo came back to Venice with his Princess Gogathine and with over 600 Chinese people to protect her of any form of violence from men against her during her travel to Venice.
She played the Pipa like a lot of Chinese people in the history and they lived secretly here in Venice together and often in her little secret garden [maybe a little secret garden like it is under Palmina’s window in the West-part of Venice] here in Venice she played the „Spring Melody of the 8 Images“, the Venetian Legends are telling… And this melody she learned by the ancient Pipa-Masters who are also learning from the tradition of the princess WangChaoJun 王昭君 in the ancient time of early China. Maybe the melody came from Laozi *****) as he met The Greece philosopher from Europe.“

*****) Laotze ( ~ 700-600 – 531 BC ) Zhou Dynasty – wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laozi
Laozi 老子; [Lǎozǐ], literally „Old Master“, was an ancient Chinese philosopher and writer. He is the reputed author of the Tao Te Ching, the founder of philosophical Taoism…

„Palmina is very wise and well educated… but who teaches her this melody?…Palmina is a present from the heaven.“

Palma is composing, and composing and inspired of the 8 Images and wrote all in his music score.
He looks to the heaven from where the Saints and Masters are now looking to Palmina and Palma in their common dreaming. ****)

„Yes, here in Venice the people are telling this about Marco Polo.“
„This is a beautiful Lute – sounds great!“

And as Palma composed his 4.Pipa solo he gave her the music sheets.

And Palmina played it like that:
VIDEO: https://vimeo.com/261535081 (password ‚dgpa‘ )

Than there was a big applause here in Venice…

As Palma and Palmina saw that Vision in their Peony Gondola, Palmina looked
at Palma in an asking way.
Palma understood her thoughts. She wanted now to play it again – NOW WITH the 2.Viola-part TOGETHER with him.

Palma was a little bit tired of writing so much music, but: Her friendly smile is so powerful and lovely that he wants also to play with her the whole music piece with the new creation.

„Ok, but in the middle I have duplicated some Pipa-Tremolo-bars in the Version for Pipa + Viola with some Triols for my Viola-solo during your long Pipa-Tremolo….“

Palmina checked the music score to see the difference…
„Ok, I will take care…“
And they smiled at each other and started to play the music image „THUNDER“ like that:

Palma and Palmina could not sleep this special night.

Palmina sat up into her little bed, in her little room being alone with her new lute. She is looking over her little garden through her open window observing the bright shining star SIRIUS – „Sotis“ on the night sky holding her new Lute in her hands ready to play.
She loves her Lute. Her thoughts are: „What a wonderful day it was and also the evening…“. Her thoughts are with Palma.
* * *
Palma is also looking through his window in the little flat of his mother…
He is also sitting alone in his little bed, in a little room, observing also the brightest star SIRIUS – „Sotis“ at the late night-sky.
He is holding his Viola da braccio in his hands but like a lute, ready to pluck. The bow is lying beside him.
His thoughts are: „What a wonderful day it was and also the evening…“. His thoughts are with Palmina…

* * *
Now Palmina played on her Lute „A – d – e – a“ very soft and slow…
* * *
Palma plucked in this moment c – g – d‘ – e‘ on his Viola.
(This way of playing a string-instrument without a bow is called in italian language „pizzicato“ written in the music score often as „pizz.“)
* * *
Palmina and Palma starting to dream about today’s day:
They are both now remembering the day as it was:
* * *

„What a wonderful day it was and also the evening…
After the big Chinese-Venetian concert and the big guide through the rooms of the Dogan’s Palace they all sat at long tables being invited by the Venetian state for eating and drinking finest cooking.

Palma has his place at the important persons of the state of Venice.
He knows all persons very well. He knows them from all that invitations of the government. Palma il Giovane is always invited and there are always the same people…
But as he greeted all of them and as he spoke shortly with all of them as it was usual, his thoughts where again with Palmina.
Today he was dressed very well – also Palmina was dressed very, very well for her big Lute concert.
„Where is she now? – On which table is she sitting?“
He searched her with his eyes slowly and carefully. None should guess for whom he is looking for.

As he saw that she was sitting at the table where the artists and dancers of the pink flowers performance sat, he carefully stood up, excused himself for going, and went slowly but not directly to her table, where one free place beside Palmina was already waiting for him. She always reserved his place for him friendly in her shy manner.

He asked if he is allowed to take place here?
„Excuse, excuse, excuse…“, Palma folded his Hands like praying and bowed himself a little bit a few times.
Palmina smiled very shy – she was secretly lucky that he came to her place – and all women beside her allowed him to sit down on this long table at Palmina.
The light of the candles tried to enlighten the palace hall, but in this century (16.) there was no electric light, so although there are so much candles shining, so much mirrors and google filled with water to use the candle light for enlightenment, it is not very bright at this ancient hall.
But this makes it also very romantic…

It seams that the „golden heaven light“ is now again in this palace, around their hearts. Palmina is looking and smiling – but very shy. She had her head a little bit down but her eves where looking at him with shy friendliness.
Palma said to all artists „Thank you for your performance, especially for the beautiful flower dance with the pink flowers – it is so magic and aesthetic!“.
„Oh, thank you,..“, said the young female dancers with the white-pink(magenta) Byzantine-Chinese dress. One of them seemed to be a very well studied ballet-dancer. Palma could realize her talent. The artists where lucky to hear some feedback especially by Palma il Giovane.
And to Palmina he said smiling:
„…and thank you for your beautiful Lute playing here in our world city of art and music!“

Palmina realized that Palma was speaking very diplomatically beside her colleagues…she smiled to him understanding his intention…

She showed him with her beautiful eyes not to continue to speak because the palace servants came and are standing behind him, they could listen and spy around…
(Venice is a small world and all eyes and ears are listening sometimes too much)

And now the fine food and drinking of the palace was carried at this table by the palace servants.

Palmina thanked like a little princess and Palma thanked also to the servants very friendly.

Palma was very carefull because the servants should not figure out too fast that Palma and Palmina found themselves deeply inside their heart.

He looked very shy and she looked very shy.

It is the first time in their life they are now sitting together on a table at the finest place of Europe – the Dogan’s Palace in Venice. Venice is in this century the cultural centre and city of cultural exchange between the East and West as it was earlier in Byzantine. Some call Venice „The new Byzantine“.

Palmina and Palma both looked to their food but both where now thinking about each other. They raised their heads at the same moment and are now looking into their eyes.
Palmina get a little bit red in her face, but at this golden candle light atmosphere none could see it and the colleagues are now talking very much to each other. They didn’t care about Palma and Palmina, both sitting at the right end of this long table.

Palmina and Palma thought now at this moment how wonderful it is to communicate WITHOUT WORDS carefully only with music.

They remembered the day he played the „Marco-Polo-Love-Song“-Melody in its shorter earlier version like it is now at music score at bar 72 and bar 92. Only she knows the text to this Melody:
„Princess Gogathin, open your heart, I,I, play for you…!

She heard the melody inside her heart without using a music instrument… Deeply inside her heart she was able to repeat the melody.

Palma felt that and he heard her moving this little melody deeply in her heart.

None can take them away this melody from their heart.
Not even the aggressive violent stack-beetle from their secret „Spring-Moon-Light-River-Island“.

As Palma saw that the other artists are talking to each other he raised his arms and making with his fingers the pantomimic movements of ‚Playing Lute‘ or his ‚Playing Mandolin‘ or now ‚Playing Pipa‘ as he did it here in Venice as they suddenly met in the small little street under her little window over her little garden where she lives in her little room.

Palmina understood him immediately.

She smiled so lucky and then she said „Pi-Pa!“.
Palma folded his hands like praying or it is usual in Asia to greet respectful and friendly.

„I want to ask you if I may compose some music for your Pipa?“

„Yes, yes…!“

„Oh this is great! You are the best Lute player of the Venice Island-State!“
„Oh, thank you Palma…“,
„May I compose 8 music pieces for your Pipa? “

They felt again the golden-light-connection between their hearts without saying a word.

„YES, yes…“

„…may I…,may I see your music instrument?“
She nodded very shortly and they both went back to the little wood-stage at the other side of the ancient palace-hall in-front of the big painting artwork of Palma il Giovane and Tintoretto.
Her case of her Pipa was on the left side on the stage.
They both went there and they both felt on the knees to see the Pipa.

As Palmina opened her case of her Pipa, it felt like she opened her heart…

None was allowed to see or even to touch her music instrument but now: …She showed it to Palma…

„Oooh, how beautiful…!“, said Palma
„And this…are the nails for the fingers to make the sound…?“
„Yes, yes…“, Palmina said with her soft innocent voice.
She took the Pipa out of the case and gave it to Palma.

As Palmina gave him her Pipa it felt like the Saint Virgin allowed him to hold her baby…

It was such a magic and personal moment.
Palma felt that it was a big honour to see the instrument of such a talented soloist like her and he knew that she is the best…“
Palma was now allowed to hold her instrument.
„Oh,… it’s heavy!“
Palma was fascinated by this Chinese Lute.
„And..And…the names…?“

They felt that their hearts came nearer and nearer…without looking at each other.
„…the names… of ….the ….4 strings…are…“
* * *
Palmina is still looking at SIRIUS remembering this beautiful moment of today’s evening.
She started to plug A – d – e – a on her Pipa.
* * *
Palmina’s heart was now very warm and she sent love and a little smile to Palma.

In this moment Palma also thought on this beautiful moment, his beautiful moment ever, as she explained him the names of the strings. He is also looking to SIRIUS now and could feel her smile and her love…
* * *
Palma plucked on his Viola: c g d‘ a‘
* * *

And then they both continuing dreaming and remembering of the moment at the stage…
* * *

„Oh,…,oh,… I will write it on a little piece of paper for you….“, said Palmina shy and very lovely.

„…I…. feel….. that I play this Lute since…. hundreds of years…“, she said like being in a vision.

Palma had also her vision…

Understanding her he said: „Maybe you played this Pipa for Marco Polo (1254-1324) 300 years ago. As he listened to you, he felt in love with you and he answered with music playing his Venetian Love-song for you as music answer…“

She smiled very very shy but lovely, „…this could really be… …it happened maybe 300 years ago…“

He could feel that Palmina was an open, big hearted soul which is really interested in a music dialogue…and she inspires him very much…
„She is a present of heaven and an ambassador of heaven“, Palma thought, „“Her culture is the golden light of heaven, the heaven of music and the higher inspirations…I love her! I love my music-princess…“

Palmina looking to him as she could read his thoughts.

Palma sees her, he hears her and he feels her with all his heart.

If someone would harm her he would feel it imminently. She is protected by the state and especially by the Venetian Titian-Art Gallery.

She explains him the highest notes possible to play on the Pipa.

„This is a fa…“, Palmina tried to show that it is a semi-tone higher.

„Ah, higher than fa, fa sharp?“
„Yes, yes…“, she said softly.

Palmina played very soft the highest note of her lute – fa# (sharp)

Palma came nearer to see the position she is touching with her left hand.
She played it so naturally and open hearted that Palma felt a big harmony and familiarity now again…“

* * *
As they both dreamed this about their day they took again their instruments, each sitting in their little rooms on their little beds looking to the stars outside:
* * *
Palmina plucked on her lute: A – d – e – a
* * *
Palma plucked on his Viola: c – g – d‘ – a‘
* * *

Both saw now a „shooting star on the night sky“…
Palmina smiled…

Gloria di San Giuliano di Palma il Giovane

Today Palmina wanted to surprise Palma with playing his own creation from her window as she did last time.
She expected to hear from him soon – Every day Palma worked on a very large painting in the little church nearby. Often he arrived late with his mandolin to play for her and to listen to her music answer.
But today she waited and waited – there was no Palma…
She looked out of her window down in the tiny small street – but again no Palma…
She waited so long and was a little bid sad. She prepared the music piece so good and to surprise Palma today – but there was no Palma…
As the evening was coming she decided to lit her candle in her small lantern to go down to the small short street searching Palma in the church where he usually is working on his painting.
She took also the Lute with her, some little white Venetian breads and went very fast to the little church nearby.
The door was not locked so she hoped that this means that Palma is there still painting with candlelight. But as she came with her lantern-light into the dark church there was no candle lighting.
The church was without any light. Only from the windows came some dark blue light. She found him sleeping at his big painting making a little break forgetting to wake up and to come to Palmina with his mandolin.
She looked at him and realised how peaceful he is now sleeping. Palmina smiled as she saw him sleeping like a little child in front of the big painting which is his great artwork. But she also saw the music piece on that paper he wrote for lute lying beside the painting.
She learned every note by heard from that music piece.
Palma did not know that she learned his music piece and playing it in her tiny chamber alone every day. Once she wanted to play for him his music creation – Today was the day!
Also Palma planed to play this music piece for her!
He thought that he will surprise her with this music – He learned the piece on his mandolin in his little breaks between when he was alone in the church.
BUT Palmina was faster – Yes, she is able to learn a new music piece incredibly fast.
Every time she visits him at this little church in Venice she learned a few parts from the music-sheet which has Palma always at his working place secretly looking at the music sheet.
But Palmina came often and brought him fresh backed fine little breads (Once Palmina invented these little fine breads and all people of Venice loved her creation – Only in Venice you can get these fine breads also till today).
Palma painted often so long that there was no time for eat. Palmina could feel that and brought him secretly every day some fine little breads if none was in the church.
Today he worked so long and hard on his big painting that he felt asleep. So Palmina set the lantern-light to his head and took her Lute into her hands. Softly she started to play his music piece tenderly nearby his ear. She saw also that he added a dedication with her name at the music-sheet. She was very moved about this – Palma is expressing his feelings and she understood this very well…
She was so lucky that Palmina did not fall from the scaffolding today. It was dangerous to be tired and painting on the scaffolding in this church.
Palma il Giovane heard her beautiful playing and waked up very softly during her gentle Lute playing. First he thought a female angel with a special kind of lute was now playing in the church.
Palma started to smile and listened to her little soft personal concert.
They where at this evening alone in this little church – only the angels where with them and also the golden light which was visible around all things (Palma often painted it in his paintings).
Palmina looked so friendly being surrounded by the warm candle light from the little lantern. Palma was lucky and inspired…
Palmina played with all her heard and warmed Palma’s heard. Now she waked him up so softly and friendly…
She awakes his love to music, to make music, to express feelings with music and to tell little or big things within music…
She was able to heal with music, to make tired hearts lucky and to wake a sleeping soul up for new inspiring life with all her music talent playing her lute.
So Palmina saved Palma il Giovane with light and music.

2. Mandolin solo inspiration – Part II

As Palma finished his mandolin solo he listened if she is playing a music answer from her window. She thought if she plays a little dance as her own composition no one will say anything against it. And so Palmina did. No one will forbid her to play an own composition.
Palma listened to her and started a drawing of her showing her with the lute and his mother playing the violin.
After she ended her own dance composition Palma raised his Mandolin and played this music: LISTEN:

– Mandolin solo Inspiration I – by Gerald Spitzner

· 470 years ago Palma il Giovane lived (* ~1548 in Venice; † 1628 Venice) in Venice (Italy), who was a famous painter and pupil of the great master Titian.
At Venice his painting was presented the first time in a little church. He saw her the first time in his live. She played very beautifully the Lute. After the concert he spoke with her about her beautiful concert and thanked her very much. He spoke with her about the names of the strings of her beautiful instrument. And she was very lucky to explain him the names of the strings. And there was a light-beam coming directly from the church window to that place where they stood. He wanted to see her again but he had no address, he had only her name „Palmina“.
So after a long time it happened during an early morning in Venice that Palma il Giovane went through a very tight and very short street.
Suddenly he met her again in this street:
She was carrying tiny white breads which where freshly backed. Palma made some pantomimic movings with his fingers in the air. It looked like he was playing Lute. Palmina smiled very happy.
As they so meet each other again they smiled and said no word and looked smiling into their eyes. She allowed him to sniff on the fresh tiny fine breads. He sniffed and she sniffed also, both smiling and looking each others into their eyes.
Without saying any word they met again in the next morning in this little street. This they made every early morning in this short tiny street without speaking any words while smiling and looking into their eyes and sniffing at the fresh fine white little breads which where backed fresh and transported by Palmina through this tiny street.
But on one day she was not here on that morning and Palma was very sad because he didn’t not know where she is living here in Venice. Suddenly he heard her playing the Lute. So he raised his eyes up to the windows over the lovely little garden on the right side which was on the other site of the tiny wall and he saw a lot of open windows and he could not figure out from which window Palminas Lute music is coming from and decided to run home and bring his MANDOLINE.
As he heard that she is playing so beautifully he listened to her music. After she stopped playing for a while he started to play on his Mandoline this music:
